• C Steel Rope Core/Tungsten:

  With the new Evah Pirazzi Gold Viola C, we developed a
  steel rope core string which has a powerful and warm sound with
  tremendous brilliance. This new C-string reacts to the smallest bow
  strokes and converts each stroke into a wonderfully harmonious sound
  image.

  The core material is made of a high-precision steel rope
  cable which is wound with a fine tungsten wire that has been
  specifically developed for musical strings. By combining these
  specialized materials with our advanced winding process, the Evah
  Pirazzi Gold steel C successfully provides additional power to the new
  synthetic core Evah Pirazzi Gold set (Art.No. 425091).

for viola. To my amazement these strings are not only a bit stronger
than anything I have been using so far but they also improved the
quality of the sound on that viola considerably. I usually have to put
strings from different brands on the viola to make up for the naturally
sharper sound on the A and the duller sound on the C string. There was
no need to do this with these new strings. This new set makes some of my
